Senior Management

The Bank's management comprises of highly skilled and experienced personnel. The Bank has continued with aggressive capacity building through staff training and development programmes. The first critical success factor of the bank is about an organization culture that values people, enhances performance and supports the business. This is grounded on seven core values namely Professionalism, Integrity, Creativity, Teamwork, Unity of Purpose, Respect and Dignity for Customers and Effective Corporate Governance.
A lot of emphasis is laid on developing leadership capabilities at all levels of the organization by sponsorships to some of the worlds leading programmes. These include Harvard Business School, Wharton Business School, Strathmore Business School, Bolder Microfinance Leadership Programme and Ireland Development Institute among others.

The leadership team of the Bank consists of the following persons:-



Addis holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Master’s degree in Economic Development and a PhD in political economics from Al-Neelain University, Khartoum, Sudan. He also holds Bachelor Degree in Finance and Accounting from Hanze University, Groningen, Netherlands. He has a wide range of experience in banking, accounting, finance, and information system. Prior to joining Equity Bank, Dr. Addis initially worked as a teaching assistant at Al Neelain University, Khartoum and was later appointed as a banking inspector, Central Bank of Sudan in 1997. He worked as an assistant accountant and auditor at Dubois & Co Chartered Accountants Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He has also worked as head of non-banking Division before he got transferred to be the Head of planning, regulation and licensing, central bank of south Sudan (BSS). He joined Equity Bank in February 2015.





Gabriel holds a Master Degree in Population and Development and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences from Makerere University Kampala, Diploma in Philosophy and Project Planning and Management.Prior to joining the bank, Gabriel was a Program Coordinator of South Sudan Business Forum (SSBF) mandated to facilitate dialogue between the public and the private sector for the improvement of the business environment and investment climate in South Sudan. Gabriel joined Equity Bank in 2012.





Victor is a Certified Public Accountant CPA (K) and has vast experience in Operations, Payment Systems and Projects Management and has been part of the core team that championed the roll out of the Finacle 10 Core Banking system.  Before joining the Sudan Subsidiary, he worked at the Group Head Office in the Operations Department.  He is one of the pioneer staff of Equity Bank South Sudan.  Victor joined the Bank in 2006





Peter is a holder of a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Kenyatta University in Kenya and is currently pursuing an MBA in Strategic Management. He has over 15 years of work experience both in banking and Telecommunication. Before joining the South Sudan subsidiary, Peter had worked in the Kenya subsidiary as a Branch Manager before joining the Marketing Department at the Group Head Office as a sector head in the Government and institutional Banking sector. Prior to joining Equity Bank, he had worked at Kencel\Celtel\Zain (K) Ltd as a Retail and Distribution Manager and at BAT (K) Ltd.  Peter joined the Bank in 2007.





Henry holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree –in Finance from Catholic University of Eastern Africa and is a Certified Public Accountant –CPA (K). He also holds a diploma in Computer Studies. He has over 10 years experience in Internal Audit and he is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and Professional Risk Managers International Association (PRMIA).  Before joining the South Sudan subsidiary, he worked at the Group Head Office in the Internal Audit Department.  Prior to joining the Bank, he worked at The Nairobi Hospital and Delphis Bank Ltd.  Henry joined Equity Bank in 2008.
